Peabody Child Care Center is committed to ensuring the highest level of safety, supervision, and communication when children are transported. For this reason, we partner with Panda Transportation, a licensed, insured, and professional transportation company based in Massachusetts, to provide transportation services for our program.

Transportation Services Provided

Panda Transportation is used for:

• Field trips related to educational enrichment, special events, and seasonal activities

• Daily transportation from local schools to Peabody Child Care Center for children enrolled in our after-school program

Transportation is provided only during scheduled times and for approved destinations. No unscheduled or unauthorized transportation will occur.

Safety & Compliance

Panda Transportation follows all applicable Massachusetts state and local transportation regulations, including:

• Properly registered and maintained vehicles

• Routine vehicle safety inspections

• Fully licensed, trained, and qualified drivers

• Required insurance coverage

These measures help ensure that children are transported in a safe, secure, and reliable manner at all times.

Supervision & Accountability

The safety of children during transportation is a shared responsibility between Panda Transportation and Peabody Child Care Center. To maintain accountability:

• Attendance is taken before departure and upon arrival at each destination

• Children are supervised during pick-up and drop-off transitions

• Clear procedures are followed to ensure no child is left unattended

Peabody Child Care Center staff coordinate directly with Panda Transportation to confirm schedules, routes, and attendance lists.

Communication with Families

Families will be:

• Notified in advance of all field trips and transportation arrangements

• Provided with details regarding destinations, dates, and times

• Required to submit written permission for participation in field trips and transportation when applicable

Parents are encouraged to communicate any special concerns, medical needs, or transportation-related questions to the center staff in advance.

Field Trips

Field trips are planned with safety, age-appropriateness, and educational value in mind. Transportation to and from field trip locations will be provided by Panda Transportation, and all applicable supervision and safety procedures will be followed during travel.

After-School Transportation

For children enrolled in the after-school program, Panda Transportation provides transportation directly from participating local schools to Peabody Child Care Center. Children are safely transferred from school dismissal to transportation and then to the center under coordinated supervision.
